Love Your Neighbor – December, 2021

Giving

“It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35)

This truly means, transferring something to someome else from your possession to theirs. More importantly, it is the power of giving from a selfless act – where you give from the heart because:

  • You want to share what you have
  • You want to show appreciation – GRATITUDE
  • You want share because you care
  • It is an act of worship
  • It is an act of giving WITHOUT expectation of getting something in return

PONDER: Giving is a measure of one’s love for God:

  • “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Matthew 6:19-21

  • “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

2 Corinthians 9:7

What is the greatest gift of God? It is the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ!

One way I can commit to giving to show my Love Your Neighbor is by:
