Bartender Appreciation Day / National Gazpacho Day

Bartender Appreciation Day

December 6

This day celebrates bartenders throughout the world not only for mixing drinks but many times listening to customers’ deepest emotional thoughts. They often work 10-12 hour shifts which also includes ordering liquor, prep work and late night clean-up. Here’s a few interesting bartender serving tidbits. More than 185,000 Margaritas are drunk in the U.S. every hour making it the most popular bar drink. There are an estimated 49,000,000 bubbles in every bottle of champagne! Each champagne bottle has three times more pressure than a car tire, so watch your eyes when you’re popping those bottles! Residues from an alcoholic beverage that dates back to 7,000 to 6,600 B.C. have been found in China.
