Brownie Kisses


2 packages (4 0z. each) of Baker’s German Sweet Chocolate
1 tablespoon butter
2 eggs at room temperature
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
¾ cup chopped pecans
½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Melt chocolate and butter over hot water. Remove from heat, let cool to room temperature

2. Beat eggs until foamy. Add vanilla and then add sugar two tablespoons at a time, beating constantly until mixture is very thick (about 5 minutes).

3. Add cooled chocolate and beat 1 minute, or until it is incorporated into the egg mixture.

4. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt together and add to chocolate mixture. Beat just until everything is mixed together.

5. Stir in pecans.

6. Drop onto greased cookie sheets by teaspoonful.

7. Bake at 350 degrees for 11-12 minutes.

8. Remove cookies at once from pan and let cool completely on a rack.

9. Store in airtight container.
