Bricks 4 Kidz is an Ellis County business teaching children STEM and helping to grow their creativity and problem-solving abilities, using LEGO bricks! Today they are celebrating a HUGE birthday. Owner Irene Chomicki can be seen driving all over the county in her uniquely designed van with colorful LEGOs all over it! To meet Irene is to instantly love her. She is energetic and positive, and so passionate about this work that she’s doing. Bricks 4 Kidz is not only her business, but it’s also a ministry. She is able to share her knowledge and teach children every day how to tap into their God-given creativity and learn something new! The kids beam with excitement when their projects are a success or when their teamwork pays off.
Irene began her business in January of 2016, and over these years, Bricks 4 Kidz has reached over 4,000 kids! She has big plans for this year and beyond. She will be running summer camps weekly throughout Ellis County, and will be increasing the number of kids from 4 to 8! She also hopes to continue pursuing the local school districts to see if their doors can open to her allowing B4K to offer after-school classes. Her dream and goal would be that every Elementary school in Ellis County would have one of these programs!
