Fear will try it’s best to bully you!
A buddy of mine one day asked, “How is cyber-bullying such a thing Coop? Do we not know that we can just block them!” I responded, “Good question, however, an even better question is: how can fear be such a thing to a Christian?”
In the book of 2 Timothy 1:7 we are reminded that, “…God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
Well where did fear come from? I am glad you asked.
Matthew 13:24-25 says, “…the kingdom of heaven is like a man which sowed good seed in his field. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat…”
Fear comes from the enemy and we must learn to cast down every evil thought and/or imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And be thou only strong and very courageous. And know that the devil wants to try us. Luke 22:31-32 says, “Simon, Simon Peter… satan has asked excessively that all of you be given up to him out of the power and keeping of God that he may sift you all like a grain of wheat. But I have prayed especially for you Peter, that your own faith may not fail. And when you yourself have turned again, strengthen and establish your brother.”
Look, fear is coming after you and it is coming after me. Yes, fear thinks we are faithless. But I come to strengthen you! Many of us think that the trials and tribulations we endure have come from the hand of the enemy. You are correct; however, know that God our Father has allowed them. We must remember that the trials come for the Word’s sake. After all, what is faith unless it be proven?
Fear comes to kill, steal, and destroy! But for you, be thou only strong and very courageous. Submit to God and resist the devil. Know that the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God says the Lord.
Fear will come for your heart; will you be ready when it comes?
Remember, faith over fear!
God bless you,
