Quinnie Lee Nichols is still excited about the success enjoyed by the first Family Empowerment Expo staged by DeSoto-based nonprofit Queenish Professional Women’s Club several weeks ago at the Waxahachie Civic Center.
The event featured speakers, workshops and vendors and had an expressed goal of bringing people together with information and resources that could prove inspiring and impactful for their lives.
“In this fast-paced and chaotic environment, remaining determined is a holy grail each person seeks; this can only be achieved with strong emotional intelligence and stability, which we emphasize,” Nichols said of the distinctive event that sought to “shed light on the profound disciplines of life.”
The expo featured numerous workshops centered on helping people with various aspects of their daily lives, including the topics of family finances, home buying, entrepreneurship, coping mechanisms, anger management, healthy mind and wealthy life for families, relationship cycles, small business workshops, debt cancellation, credit fit readiness, diversity world tools, meditation, veteran, women empowerment, the importance of voting, and more.
“This event [was] a top-notch opportunity for families to come under one roof and connect,” Nichols said. “A productive exposure will make them understand their life better. This network helps them overcome the challenges of life in a better way. An informed individual can navigate and muddle through any kind of life challenge. And for this, QPWC is bringing people together so they may benefit from each other.”
Queenish Professional Women’s Club was founded in 2013 to promote education, family, wellness, career, success, and financial security.
“Our mission is to transform people’s lives, especially women of our society, and empower them to excel in each walk of life,” Nichols said.
