Ladybug Girl

Ladybug Girl, written by David Soman and Jacky Davis is the story of a little girl named Lulu who calls herself “Ladybug Girl” She has some special ladybug wings and boots and even ladybug antenna bouncing around on top of her head. Her older brother thinks she is too little to play baseball with him and his friends, so Lulu and her dog, Bingo, wander through the house trying to find something to do.

She finds L’s in the library, waters her avocado plant and then heads outside. She sees some ants trying to get over a big rock, and since she’s “Ladybug Girl”, she helps the ants by moving the rock. She and Bingo jump in a big puddle, walk across a fallen tree and even find her brother’s baseball in the grass.

By the end of the day, Lulu and Bingo have had some great adventures. Lulu knows she’s not too little to do lots of things because she’s “Ladybug Girl”!
