Hope
“All things are possible to him who believes.” – Jesus (Mark 9:23)
By definition: Hope, “is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.” Ya gotta have hope!
With all my serious medical issues: multiple surgeries related various artery blockages, bladder cancer, and other “stuff”, I heard my self-talk saying, “Gee, I wonder if I will reach the age of 80?” Well I did and in style – I might add. My dear wife gave me a whopping birthday party with 60+ family and friends in attendance. Was I expecting it? I had “hoped” she would do something, but not on this grand scale.
What kind of expectations of hope do you have? May I refer you to our greatest hope in the world, and it’s that we have eternal life in Jesus Christ. It’s not just hope as much as it is in assurance. If you do not have that, then I invite you to put your hope, trust, and faith in the One who died that you may live eternally. When we give our lives to Him, then we have HOPE!!
More than ever, we need hope in choosing FAITH over FEAR as we travel down the road of uncertainties as we deal with the Coronavirus. Let us trust knowing God has a plan and knows the outcome of what we face. God knew in advance this was coming and WILL provide for ALL our needs.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy spirit.” – Romans 15:13 (NIV)
God has a plan:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to is purpose.” – Romans 8:28 (NIV)
