Monopoly is based on Atlantic City. The game is published in 47 languages and sold in 114 countries. Within a year of its release, 35,000 editions were sold each week. There have been 20 different tokens issued over the past 84 years. There is a total amount of $20,580 in cash in each standard game. More than 5 billion little green houses have been manufactured since the game’s launch.
