Casablanca Debuts

Now considered one of the classic movies of all time, Casablanca (based on the novel Everybody Comes to Ricks) there were few at Warner Brothers Studios who thought it would be anything special even though it featured Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.  However, just before its release the Allied forces invaded North Africa which stirred interest.  The movie went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
