Real Love

As I see the candy and cards fill the shelves of the stores preparing for Valentine’s Day, I am reminded that love is not always romantic.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

Now my friends, this is what I would consider real love! Remember, we are called to be like Christ.

In fact, Jesus commanded that we are to: Love your neighbor as yourself…” Matthew 22:39

Are you a follower of Christ?

Jesus said to His disciples: “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

Listen, in this sick and confused world, let us, the Church, rise and lead in love. We must learn to love unconditionally, which means to love beyond conditions. We are different, we look different, we talk different, we walk different, and will often have different views; however, the one thing that we must not differ in is our love for one another.

I would even go as far to say that we are nothing without love!

Scripture says, …if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:2

Let us be something and learn to love for real, I am talking about REAL LOVE!!!

I have decided to give my life to support life, what about you?

God bless you,
Pastor Cooper
