Stupid Toy Day / National Chocolate Covered Anything Day

Stupid Toy Day

December 16

This day is dedicated to enjoying a ridiculous gift you have received or giving something really weird to a friend whether it is at a White Elephant party or just a personal gift. There are all sorts of possibilities using a fruitcake you received as a doorstop, or giving someone a Santa toilet seat cover. This may be one of the best special days of the year!

National Chocolate Covered Anything Day

December 16

Why would you want to cover all sorts of things in chocolate? Maybe because scientists tell us that chocolate discharges the same chemical into your body which is produced when you start falling in love. Maybe it’s because chocolate is the star and it doesn’t matter what’s it is on. The typical cocoa tree produces 2,500 beans and it takes 400 of them to make one pound of chocolate. Almost 70% of all chocolate is produced in South Africa. Every second Americans collectively eat 100 pounds of chocolate. M&Ms were first produced in 1941 for soldiers because they did not melt. Chocolate tycoon, Milton Hershey, canceled his trip on the Titanic because of last minute business matters.
