Jesus Christ, the Atonement for our sins.
We often hear and preach the message of Christ to the cross. The cross is the centerpiece of the good news of Jesus Christ.
Crucified on the cross, Jesus paid the price for the ALL the sins of the world. Adam and Eve committed a high treason by eating the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Life. After this fall of man, sin entered the camp.
Sin entered the camp??? Yes, all humans created from that point forward were created from the defective mold. Romans 3:23 says, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
John 8:23 …Jesus said to the Jews which believed on Him, “If you continue in my Word, then you are my disciples. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s seed and were never in bondage to any man, how can you say, you shall be made free?” Jesus answered, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, whosoever commits sin is the servant/slave to sin.”
My friends, Jesus paid the price that we may be free from sin, and the debt was paid in full!
He was our High Ransom, the payment for the release from the prison of sin.
He paid it for the remission of our sins, the cancellation of our debt.
Romans 6:23 tells us that, “…the wages of sin is death…”
Thanks be to God for His only begotten Son, who has paid this debt!
