Adrian and I go WAY back… like Northside Elementary, way back. I remember him always being so nice to me, as I was quiet, shy, and wanted to just blend in as much as possible. It’s been many years since I’ve seen him, but just this week we met for coffee to discuss the possibilities of him joining our little family of writers. We reminisced of much simpler days and times of our childhood, shared what we’ve been up to since then, and collectively realized that Ellis DownHome would be a good fit to share his wise perspectives and words. Here’s a little more about Adrian below. Help us welcome him!!
Adrian Cooper is a proud product of Waxahachie, Texas who is also a husband to beautiful wife, Marquita Cooper, father to four handsome boys, senior and founding pastor of Waxahachie Life Church, and the owner of Future Generations Christian Child Care Center. Although his life seems extremely busy, Adrian loves to hang out with his family and has a passion for the youth and sports. Adrian also serves as a character coach for the Waxahachie High School football program and the Waxahachie High School girls basketball program. Because of Adrian’s troubled childhood, he enjoys influencing the youth in a positive way. He believes that, “He who influences the youth influences the future of the world.” Adrian stands on and lives by one simple principle in life, “Right people do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do!”
